We knit this short sleeve pullover from a lightweight, fine-gauge yarn in a soft apricot tone. The open polo collar leads into a clean V-neck without buttons, paired with short sleeves gathered lightly at the shoulder cap. Ribbed bands finish the cuffs and hem so the body sits naturally at the waist.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Polo neck and collar
The neckline opens into a neat V below a flat-laying polo collar. We left off buttons and plackets to keep the front clean and reduce bulk under a lightweight jacket.
Gathered puff sleeve
The short sleeves are gathered lightly where they meet the shoulder seam, creating volume before tapering down. A ribbed band holds each sleeve neatly above the elbow.
Fine gauge knit
We chose a light, smooth knit structure that breathes during warm afternoons while holding its shape. The apricot yarn gives the surface a balanced, even finish that hangs straight down the torso.
Care and washing
Turn the sweater inside out and place it inside a mesh laundry bag before machine washing on a gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Lay flat to dry to keep the ribbing intact.
