We knit this crewneck sweater with a loose, relaxed body and full-length sleeves. The deep forest green yarn gives the knit an even, solid surface. Scalloped edges finish the round neck, sleeve openings, and straight hem rather than standard ribbed bands, keeping the edges soft and flat against the wrist and waist.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Scalloped neckline
The collar sits as a classic crewneck with a repeating scalloped border along the curve. It rests flat against the collarbone without a heavy ribbed band, leaving room underneath for an undershirt collar or sitting clean on its own.
Sleeve and cuff finish
We cut the sleeves straight down the arm to a full-length finish. Instead of a tight elasticated cuff, the wrist ends in the same scalloped detail as the neck, giving the opening a relaxed fall over the back of the hand.
Body cut and drape
The knit is light enough to layer under coats while maintaining an unhurried, loose fall through the torso. It hangs straight down to the scalloped bottom hem without gathering or pulling tight at the hips.
Knit care
Wash by hand or place the sweater in a mesh laundry bag on a gentle machine cycle. Do not bleach. Lay the piece flat on a drying rack rather than hanging to keep the scalloped hem from stretching.
