A wide leg cut from a heavy cotton and polyester knit. We brushed the inside for a soft fleece back that holds warmth without adding stiff bulk. The straight hem falls clean over trainers, anchored by an enclosed waistband and deep side pockets.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide leg hem
We left the bottom open and straight rather than gathered into an ankle cuff. The hem drops straight from the hip, giving the leg room to move and pooling slightly over flat shoes.
Inner drawstring waist
The waistband holds a flat elastic band cased in the main knit. We threaded an interior drawstring through stitched eyelets so you can adjust the tension at the waist without external cord ends hanging out.
Brushed fleece interior
The outer face is a smooth jersey knit, while the inner face is lofted fleece. The knit blend traps air close to the legs on colder mornings and holds its shape through regular wash cycles.
Side seam pockets
Two slanted pockets sit right into the side seams. We lined them flat against the hip so the pocket bags do not bunch up beneath the waistband when you walk or sit down.
