We cut these sweatpants with a low-rise waist and a relaxed, straight leg that falls open at the ankle. The interior fleece is brushed for weight and warmth in cold weather. We finished the White Tree print with deep slash pockets and an adjustable drawcord.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide leg cut
The legs fall straight from the hip down to an open hem, leaving plenty of room through the thigh and calf. The wide cut gives the thick fleece fabric a clean drape.
Brushed fleece interior
We chose a cotton and polyester knit with a soft, lofted fleece backing. It holds warmth well through autumn and winter while remaining soft against the leg.
Drawstring waistband
The low-rise waist sits easily on the hips and secures with an adjustable flat drawstring cord. You can knot it to your preferred tension without bunching the fabric.
Side pocket construction
Two deep side pockets are set into the side seams to hold small items. We reinforced the pocket openings so they lie flat against the fleece without adding bulk.
