What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide leg cut
The trousers run straight from the hip down to an open hem. We left the cuff unbanded so the heavy fleece falls cleanly over sneakers or boots without bunching at the ankle.
Internal drawstring waist
The waistband sits low and houses a flat cord on the inside. You can knot it to your preferred tension while keeping the outer line clean under shorter tops and pullovers.
Brushed fleece interior
We chose a fleece with a smooth, knit outer face and a lofted, brushed backing. The fabric holds enough weight to keep its structure while trapping warm air inside through cold mornings.
Side seam pockets
Two deep pockets sit along the side seams to hold keys and a phone without pulling on the waistband. Wash cold on a gentle cycle and dry flat to keep the fleece soft.
