We cut these sweatpants wide through the leg from a brushed fleece knit. The rise sits low at the waist, secured with an internal drawcord through a flat casing. Side pockets are stitched into the forward seams so they stay flat while you walk.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Brushed fleece fabric
The knit has a smooth exterior printed with a white leaf motif, backed with lofted fleece on the inside. It falls straight down from the hip with enough weight to hold the wide shape without bunching.
Inner drawstring waist
We built the waistband with an enclosed flat elastic band and an interior cord. You can adjust the tension directly against the waist without cords dangling over the front of the trouser.
Wide leg hem
The legs drop straight from the upper thigh down to an ungathered open hem. The broad opening lets the fleece drape cleanly over sneakers or flat shoes without catching at the ankle.
Side entry pockets
Two deep pockets sit right along the side seams, cut deep enough to hold keys or a phone. We anchored the pocket bags to stay in place rather than bunching inside the fleece.
