We cut these sweatpants from a dense knit lined with brushed fleece for cooler mornings. The waist sits low on the hips and secures with an interior drawcord, while the straight wide legs drop cleanly to the shoes without gathering at the ankle. Two side pockets sit flat along the seams.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Brushed fleece knit
The outer face of the knit is smooth, backed with lofted fleece that traps warmth without adding stiffness. The fabric drops straight from the hip and keeps its shape throughout the day.
Low rise waist
An encased elastic waistband sits low across the hips. We placed the flat drawstring on the inside to keep the front waistband clean under cropped tees and oversized pullovers.
Wide straight hem
The legs fall wide and parallel from the thigh down to an ungathered hem. The open opening clears low sneakers and ankle boots without bunching or dragging.
Side seam pockets
Two deep vertical pockets are set directly into the side seams. They sit flat when empty and hold small items securely without pulling the waistband down.
