We cut these sweatpants with a straight, wide leg and a soft fleece backing on the inside. The mid grey knit has good weight so the leg falls clean from the hip down. An adjustable drawstring cord anchors the waistband firmly where you set it.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Fleece backed fabric
The interior face is brushed into a dense fleece for warmth in cool weather. The knit shell mixes cotton and polyester to hold its shape through regular wash cycles without losing its soft hand.
Drawstring waistband
The elastic waistband is threaded with an exterior drawstring cord so you can tighten or loosen the fit. It sits flat across the middle and stays in place as you walk.
Wide straight hem
We left the ankle open rather than gathered into an elastic cuff. The straight cut gives the leg room to move freely and lets the hem fall neatly over trainers or flat shoes.
Care and wash
Hand wash in cold water or run on a gentle machine cycle inside a laundry bag. Do not bleach. You can run a warm iron over the shell before wearing to smooth the fabric.
