We cut these lounge pants with a straight, wide leg that falls straight from the hip without tapering at the ankle. The interior fleece is brushed lightly for warmth, while the face sits smooth. An elastic waistband with an adjustable drawcord lets you place the rise where you want it.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Wide straight leg

The leg runs straight from the hip down to a clean, open hem. We gave it extra width through the thigh and calf so the fleece drapes rather than clings, keeping movement unhindered around the house or outdoors.

Drawstring waistband

An encased elastic band anchors the waist, paired with an exterior drawstring for quick adjustment. You can tie it high on the waist or let it rest lower across the hips depending on what top you pair with it.

Brushed fleece fabric

We chose a cotton and polyester blend knit with a smooth exterior and a lofted, brushed reverse side. The interior holds warmth across cooler months while the medium weight keeps the pants from feeling heavy on the leg.

Side pockets and care

Two inset side pockets sit flat along the seams, deep enough for keys or a phone. Machine wash cold with similar shades and tumble dry low to preserve the brushed fleece backing and keep the open hem straight.
