A lightly brushed fleece backing gives this knit its substance. We gave the leg a straight, slightly widened line that drops clear past the ankle without gathering at the hem. An elasticated waist with an adjustable drawcord lets you set the rise where you prefer. Two deep side pockets sit flat along the seams.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide straight hem
The leg is cut slightly roomier than a standard track pant. It falls straight from the hip down to an open hem, avoiding elastic cuffs so the fabric hangs clean over shoes.
Brushed fleece interior
We chose a cotton and polyester knit with a soft, lofted nap on the inside. It provides moderate warmth for cool mornings without adding unnecessary bulk to the overall drape.
Drawstring waistband
An encased elastic band anchors the top. The matching flat cord threads through the front channel, allowing you to secure the waist high or let it rest lower on the hips.
Inseam pockets and care
Two generous side pockets are stitched into the outer seams to hold everyday items without pulling at the waistline. Machine wash cold with similar light colours and tumble dry low.
