A wide straight leg gives these trousers room through the thigh and calf without gathering at the ankle. We cut the fabric from a cotton and polyester blend with a brushed fleece back for warmth. The waistband carries both internal elastic and a flat drawstring.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide straight cut
The leg falls straight from the hip down to an open hem rather than gathering into a rib cuff. It hangs loose around shoes and lets air move through when you walk.
Brushed fleece interior
The knit pairs smooth outer cotton yarn with a lofted polyester fleece back. The inner face is brushed soft for warmth on cool mornings without adding heavy bulk to the drape.
Drawcord elastic waist
We built the waistband with a wide band of elastic and threaded it with a matching drawstring. You can tie it high on the waist or let it sit lower across the hips.
Deep side pockets
Two open slash pockets are set right into the side seams. We lined them flat against the hip so they stay smooth when empty and hold keys or a phone when full.
