We cut this polo with clean princess seams down the front and back to give the knit body without clinging. A quarter zipper sits below the turn-down collar, letting you adjust the neckline. Side pockets sit flat into the side seams, and the hem curves slightly at the hip.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Quarter zip collar

The self-fabric collar lies flat against the neck or folds back open when you drop the zipper. A short nylon zip runs down the front placket, giving you control over the neckline.

Princess seams and pockets

Vertical princess lines run through the torso to shape the knit. We set two slip pockets into the lower side seams so you have a place for small items without adding bulk at the waist.

Curved hem

The lower edge is cut on a gentle curve, dropping slightly lower in the back than the front. It stays tucked into a waistband or sits neatly over shorts and skirts when left loose.

Quick dry fabric and care

We chose a lightweight, smooth knit that dries quickly after a wash and resists creasing in a bag. Machine wash cold with like colors, skip the bleach, and hang it up to dry without an iron.
