We knit this lightweight pullover with a fair isle elk motif across the front and sleeves. The crewneck sits flat against the collarbone, while the raglan cut gives the shoulders plenty of room for an underlayer. Ribbed yarn finishes the cuffs, neck, and bottom hem.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Crewneck and shoulders
The neck is bound in ribbed knit that holds its shape without pulling tight. We used raglan shoulder seams here, running diagonal from collar to underarm so the knit drapes cleanly across the upper body.
Knit and pattern
We knit this in a soft, lightweight yarn with a vintage fair isle elk motif worked directly into the red ground. The texture is brushed for a soft hand that stays light on the body.
Ribbed cuffs and hem
The long sleeves finish in deep ribbed cuffs that sit close at the wrists. A matching ribbed band finishes the hem, keeping the bottom edge anchored whether worn over denim or casual trousers.
Washing and care
Hand wash cold, or machine wash on a cold cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Do not tumble dry. Reshape the knit and lay it flat on a towel to dry so the body and sleeves keep their shape.
