We knit this cropped bolero with an open front and a delicate eyelet pattern through the body. The yarn has enough stretch to sit close without binding at the arms. It finishes high on the waist, ready to layer over sun dresses or higher-rise trousers without adding bulk around the hips.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Cropped open hem
The hem sits above the natural waist to leave skirts and high-rise waistbands clear. We leave the front open with no buttons or ties, so the edges fall naturally apart over whatever top you wear underneath.
Eyelet stitch detail
We knit the body with an open eyelet pattern that adds light texture across the knit. It gives the fabric a little give and lets air pass through while keeping a light layer across the shoulders.
Long set-in sleeve
The long sleeves run down to the wrist with neat ribbed cuffs that hold their shape. The armholes are cut to allow easy layering over sleeveless dresses or thin straps without bunching under the arms.
Cold wash care
Wash this knit in a mesh laundry bag on a gentle machine cycle to protect the openwork stitches from catching. Lay it flat to dry instead of hanging so the cropped hem and shoulders keep their shape.
