We cut this long sleeve layer with a convertible collar that stands up high or folds flat into a polo neckline. The knit is lightweight, quick to dry, and rated UPF 50+. We dyed it in a muted Sage Gray, then set side pockets along the torso seams.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Convertible quarter zip
The front zipper runs through a stand-up collar fitted with a fabric guard at the top. You can pull the slider all the way up for full neck coverage, or unzip it to turn the collar down flat.
Sleeve and thumbhole
We cut the sleeves long and finished the cuffs with integrated thumbholes. Sliding your thumbs through keeps the fabric settled over the back of the hand and stops the cuffs from riding back while moving.
Side pocket construction
We placed low-profile pockets into the side seams along the lower torso. They sit flat when empty and hold small essentials without pulling the balance of the hem.
Fabric and care
The synthetic knit is lightweight, smooth on both sides, and dries fast after washing. Turn the top inside out, machine wash on a cold cycle, and hang it on a line to dry.
