We cut this sweatshirt with a broad V-neckline and a generous, boxy drape through the torso. The inner side is brushed into a soft fleece for cold mornings. Dropped shoulder seams give the long sleeves extra room to move.

What went into it

The details we cut in

V-neckline and collar

The open V-neck sits flat against the collarbone without pulling tight. It leaves plenty of breathing room around the neck and layers neatly over simple crewneck tees or collared undershirts.

Brushed fleece interior

We chose a cotton-poly knit with a smooth outer surface and a lofted, brushed inner fleece. The fabric holds its shape while trapping warmth against the body throughout the cooler months.

Dropped sleeve seams

The shoulder seam falls well off the natural shoulder point. This widens the chest line, keeps the underarm loose, and allows full movement through the arms without tugging at the body.

Care and maintenance

Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, or wash by hand. Do not bleach. Air dry flat or tumble on low heat, then warm iron to smooth any packing creases.
