We cut these black sweatpants with a relaxed, wide leg and a low-rise waist. The interior fleece is brushed for a soft finish against the leg, and the side seams drop straight to an open hem. A matching drawcord anchors the gathered waistband.

The details we cut in
Wide leg cut
The legs fall straight from the low hip to the floor without tapering at the ankles. This open hem lets the heavyweight fleece drape freely around low-top shoes.
Fleece interior
The fabric combines a smooth cotton knit face with a soft brushed back. The lofted fleece retains warmth for cooler mornings around the house.
Drawstring waistband
We finished the waist with an encased elastic band and a dyed-to-match flat drawstring. It pulls tight across the hips without binding.
Side pocket construction
Two deep slash pockets sit directly along the forward side seams. They stay flat against the hip when empty and hold small items securely.
