We cut this two-piece set for warm days at home. The top has an open polo collar and short sleeves, paired with pull-on shorts that sit high on the waist. The knit has enough give to move freely and holds its shape after laundering.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Open polo collar

The top is built with a soft spread collar and an open V-neckline that lies flat against the collarbone. Short sleeves are hemmed straight to give the shoulders room.

Elastic waistband

We gathered the waist of the shorts onto wide internal elastic. It stays in place without pinching or twisting, and the leg openings are cut wide for ease.

Side hand pockets

The shorts carry side pockets set directly into the outer seams. They sit deep enough to hold keys or a phone while keeping the hip profile flat.

Washing and care

Machine wash in cold water or hand wash. Line dry or hang to dry, and press with a warm iron if wrinkles set during storage. Avoid bleach and dry cleaning.
