We cut this two-piece set for quiet days and warm weather travel. The top features an open polo collar with half sleeves, paired with pull-on shorts cut with side pockets and a soft elastic waistband. In dark blue, the knit hangs loose off the body without clinging.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Polo collar and neckline
We shaped the top with a notched polo collar that opens into a casual V-neck. It sits flat against the collarbone, framed by clean finished seams along the front placket.
Sleeve and loose hem
The half sleeves fall near the elbow with dropped shoulder seams for unhindered reach. We cut the body wide and straight, finishing with a flat turned hem that rests below the waist.
Waistband and deep pockets
The matching shorts sit high on the waist with a wide elastic band that stays flat. We set slanted slip pockets into each side seam to hold keys or a phone without pulling.
Fabric care and wash
The knit fabric holds its shape through the wash cycle. Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, then hang or line dry to release any packing creases. Use a warm iron if needed.
