We cut this two-piece set for warm days at home and travel. The top features an open polo collar with short sleeves, paired with pull-on shorts cut with side pockets and a soft elastic waistband. The small floral pattern runs across both pieces on a flexible knit ground.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Polo collar neckline

The top opens at the front with a clean spread polo collar and a notched neck. We shaped the shoulders with set-in short sleeves that fall straight, keeping the cut relaxed through the chest and hem.

Elastic waistband shorts

We built the shorts with a wide elastic waistband that stays put without extra ties. The leg openings are cut straight across the thigh, and the inseam allows easy movement around the house or on the road.

Deep side pockets

The shorts have inset pockets stitched flat into the side seams. They sit smooth against the hip when empty and offer room for keys or a phone when you step out.

Fabric care and pressing

Wash this set in cold water on a gentle cycle, either by hand or in the machine. Hang the pieces to dry. If the knit picks up wrinkles from folding, press lightly with a warm iron.
