We cut this two-piece base layer from a stretch knit lined with a fine brushed fleece. The crew neck top uses raglan sleeves for easy arm reach, while the matching bottoms sit high at the waist with a broad elastic band. Flatlock stitching lies smooth against the body under heavier winter outerwear.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Fleece lined knit
The fabric is knitted with four-way stretch and backed with a soft lofted fleece. It holds warm air next to the body without adding bulk under tailored trousers, snow pants, or heavy wool sweaters.
Raglan sleeve cut
We shaped the long sleeve top with diagonal raglan shoulder seams instead of set-in armholes. This construction lets the arms move freely without the hem pulling upward or bunching under jacket armpits.
Flatlock seam construction
Every panel on the top and bottoms is joined with flatlock stitching. The seams lie flat against the fabric surface to reduce bulk and friction when worn directly under mid-layers and outer shells.
Care and washing
Wash this set in cold water on a gentle cycle or by hand, then dry flat or tumble dry on low heat. Skip the iron and avoid bleach to keep the brushed inner fleece soft.
