We cut this two-piece lounge set from a soft, fluid rayon knit with generous stretch. The top features a clean crew neckline and gathered pleats along the waistline, while the matching trousers hang straight into a wide leg. It is an unhurried, comfortable two-piece set dyed in rich Wine Red.

The details we cut in
Crew neck top
The top is patterned with a classic ribbed crew neckline and full-length set-in sleeves. We added fine gathers across the waistline so the knit gathers gently before resting at the hips.
Wide leg trouser
The matching pants are cut loose through the thigh and calf, falling into a wide, straight hem. The knit fabric gives the legs weight so they hang cleanly without clinging as you walk.
Drawstring waist and pockets
We anchored the trousers with a wide elastic waistband threaded with an adjustable self-fabric drawstring. Deep side slash pockets sit flat along the hip seams to hold small personal items.
Care and maintenance
Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle alongside similar deep colours. Hang the garments on a line to dry naturally, and smooth with a warm iron if the knit shows fold lines.
