We cut this blouse from a lightweight stretch fabric with a classic red and black plaid pattern. An asymmetrical square neckline frames the collarbone, leading into a clean button-down front. The details we cut in
Asymmetrical square neck
The neckline sits square across the chest with an off-center slant that rests flat against the collarbone. It opens the upper chest without dipping too deep, framed by neat interior facings that keep the edge crisp after laundering.
Three quarter sleeves
We set the three-quarter sleeves to fall between the elbow and the wrist. The cuff opening gives plenty of room through the forearm, while the stretch in the knit allows full range of movement without pulling across the shoulders.
Front placket and hem
Buttons run down the front center of the bodice to anchor the shape. We extended the cut long through the torso so the lower hem sits past the hip line, hanging straight without clinging to the waist.
Care and fabric
The lightweight woven stretch cloth resists fading through repeated washings. Run this piece on a gentle machine cycle or hand wash in cool water without bleach, then press with a low iron to smooth out packing folds.
