We knit this short sleeve layer from a lightweight yarn with good recovery and a soft hand. The V-neckline is set with decorative buttons along the placket, while the blue color blocking breaks across the torso. It sits at a regular hip length with ribbed edges.

What went into it
The details we cut in
V-neck and placket
The neckline opens into a shallow V banded with fine ribbing. We placed non-functional buttons down the front to anchor the center line without gaping.
Fine gauge knit
The knit is spun light for warm weather, with enough stretch to move easily and hold its shape. The stitch is dense enough to remain opaque.
Color block panels
Blue tones are blocked across the body and sleeves in clean horizontal bands. Each color transition is knit flat so the interior seams stay smooth against the body.
Care instructions
Machine wash on a gentle cycle or wash by hand in cold water. Lay it flat to dry to keep the ribbing crisp, and skip the bleach.
