We cut these trousers with a roomy barrel leg that tapers slightly toward an ankle-length hem. The blended linen weave is light and pliable, pooling softly around the calves. An elastic waist with an exterior drawcord keeps the fit relaxed through the seat.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Waistband and drawcord

We set the waistband on a wide elastic band and threaded it with a self-fabric drawstring. It sits level across the hips without binding, letting the gathers fall evenly around the top block.

Leg cut and hem

The legs are cut loose through the thigh with a subtle wrap split near the base. The cropped hem stops just above the ankle, giving the wide silhouette plenty of room to move.

Fabric and drape

Woven from a blend of linen and rayon yarn, the cloth carries the dry texture of natural flax alongside a fluid drop. The weave stays open to let air through on warm days.

Pockets and wash care

Deep slip pockets are set directly into the side seams to sit flat when empty. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, hang to dry naturally, and press with a steam iron to soften the weave.
