We drafted this crewneck sweatshirt with a loose longline body that falls well past the hips. Soft cotton-blend fleece holds its loft without weighing down the shoulders. Functional side zippers open along both side seams to reveal a layered contrast hem.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Cut and shoulder
We drop the shoulder seam low for an easy line through the chest and upper arm. The body hangs straight and loose to a long tunic length that stays put over trousers or leggings.
Side zipper hem
Each side seam carries a functional metal zipper that opens from the bottom. Unzipping the sides exposes a two-in-one layered contrast hem and gives the lower sweep extra room as you walk.
Fleece fabric
We chose a cotton and polyester blend fleece with a brushed inner face. It gives steady warmth through autumn and winter while keeping its shape after repeated washing.
Washing and care
Close both side zippers before washing. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag, then hang the sweatshirt on a line to dry so the ribbed cuffs and hem keep their elasticity.
