We cut this lightweight rain jacket from a coated windproof shell in deep wine red, backed with a soft plaid lining through the body and hood. The waist draws in with an internal cord to alter the shape over thick layers. A dropped hem gives extra coverage along the back.

The attached hood carries the woven plaid lining straight to the brim. A set of drawstrings lets you cinch the opening close around the collar when the wind picks up.
