We cut this blouse from a lightweight woven fabric with crisp navy and white horizontal stripes. The body falls straight to an untucked hem, balanced by three-quarter sleeves that gather softly above the wrist. It rests easily across the collarbone with an open V-neckline.

The details we cut in

V-neck cut

The neckline is cut in a clean V that sits flat along the collarbone. It opens up the front without pulling at the shoulders, finished with a smooth turned hem that holds its edge through regular washing.

Sleeve and ruffle cuff

We set the sleeves to three-quarter length and gathered the lower edge into a stitched ruffle cuff. The gather adds ease around the forearm and keeps the cuff clear of the wrist when working at a desk.

Navy stripe pattern

The horizontal stripe is yarn-dyed in deep navy against a clean white ground. We align the horizontal bands across the side seams so the pattern runs true through the torso and along the sleeves.

Fabric and laundering

This lightweight cloth breathes easily during warm weather while remaining opaque. Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar colours, then hang the top on a line to dry and preserve the stripe definition.
