A dense ribbed knit gives this cropped sweater jacket clean lines through the body. We set in a stand collar and finished the front with a two-way metal pull zipper. It hits right at the waistline, sitting flat over high-rise trousers or unzipped slightly from the lower hem.

The details we cut in
Two-way zip closure
The center front zipper runs both directions. You can pull the top slider down to loosen the throat or pull the lower slider up so the waist hem sits open over skirts and trousers.
Ribbed knit yarn
We blended cotton and acrylic yarns into a medium-weight rib with good recovery. The knit holds its boxy shape across the back and shoulders without sagging after a full day on the rail.
Waist-length cropped hem
The body is cut straight and stops at the natural waistline. Broad ribbing anchors the bottom hem and cuffs, keeping the wrists in place and the waistband close without riding up.
Washing and shaping
Machine wash this piece on a gentle cycle in cold water using a mild detergent. Pull the damp knit gently into shape and lay it flat to dry so the ribbed ridges keep their line.
