We cut this cropped cardigan with an open front and three-quarter sleeves. The openwork knit allows air through, while the horizontal navy and white stripes give the surface clear graphic lines. It hangs straight down the front without fastenings.

The details we cut in
Openwork stripe knit
The yarn is knit in an openwork pattern that lets light and air pass through the weave. Alternating navy and white horizontal bands run across the body and sleeves.
Three-quarter sleeves
The sleeves end past the elbow with finished ribbed cuffs. We shaped the armholes so the knit sits flat against the shoulder when layered over a sleeveless dress or tank.
Open front hem
We left the front edge free of buttons or hooks so the cardigan hangs open naturally. The hem falls short at the waist, framing the waistline of whatever you wear beneath.
Knit care
Machine wash in cold water inside a mesh laundry bag, or wash by hand. Lay it flat or hang on a line to dry so the knit pattern keeps its shape.
