We built this shirt-jacket for colder days. The woven royal blue plaid shell is backed by a full fleece lining through the body, sleeves, and hood. It closes down the front with metal snaps, cut wide enough through the chest and armholes to layer over heavy knitwear.

The details we cut in
Fleece lining and hood
The body, sleeves, and hood are lined with high-pile sherpa fleece that holds loft. The attached hood sits close at the neck when snapped up, keeping cold drafts off your collarbone.
Pocket configuration
Two patch pockets with snap flaps sit across the chest for small items. We set two welt hand pockets into the side seams, deep enough to slide cold hands into without pulling at the side seams.
Snap front placket
Heavy-duty metal snap buttons run down the center front placket and fasten the sleeve cuffs. They secure faster than standard buttons and hold firm against stiff winds without pulling at the woven flannel.
Fabric and wash care
The outer shell is a brushed yarn-dyed plaid in royal blue and neutral tones. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to keep the fleece lining soft, and line dry away from direct heat.
