We cut this short-sleeve top from a lightweight cotton and linen blend that carries a subtle crinkle across the weave. The front neckline dips into a soft V edged with tonal lace. It hangs loose through the torso down to a straight hem, dyed in a solid royal blue.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lace V-neckline
The collar is banded flat and cut into a neat V. Along the inner edge, we set a narrow band of lace that lies flat across the collarbone without pulling.
Cotton-linen weave
We chose a plain blend of cotton and linen for this shirt. The yarn has a natural slub texture that breathes well and softens after each wash.
Sleeve and torso cut
The body is cut straight and roomy from the armholes down, giving the fabric room to drape. Set-in short sleeves finish cleanly above the elbow with turned hems.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using a mesh laundry bag, or wash by hand. Hang the shirt to dry and run a warm iron across the weave before wearing.
