We cut this two-piece set in a lightweight black fabric that sits softly against the body without clinging. The top is a simple sleeveless pullover with a rounded neckline, paired with relaxed shorts that gather on a drawstring waistband. Side pockets finish the lower piece.

The details we cut in
Neckline and armholes
The sleeveless top has a clean round neck and bound armholes that sit flat. We kept the shoulders wide enough to cover standard straps, and the torso falls straight to a level hem.
Waistband and drawcord
The shorts pull on over an elasticated waistband threaded with a flat matching drawstring. You can adjust the tension at the center front so the waist stays secure without pinching.
Side pockets
We set open pockets into both side seams of the shorts. They lie flat against the hip when empty and sit deep enough to hold keys or a small cardholder.
Laundering and care
