We took the traditional trench and cropped the hem short. The woven shell holds a crisp line, lined fully with a contrast plaid fabric that shows when the lapels fall open. Front buttons fasten the straight placket, and two side pockets sit right at the hips.

The details we cut in
Lapel collar
The wide folded lapels lie flat across the collarbone. You can leave the front open to show the plaid facing, or fasten the buttons straight up to the chest.
Cropped hem
We finished the bottom hem well above the hip line. It sits squarely over high-rise trousers, keeping the body boxy and clean without extra bulk around the seat.
Plaid lining
A woven plaid fabric lines the body and sleeves. It adds structure to the outer shell and slides smoothly over knit sweaters or cotton shirts when you put it on.
Fabric and care
The army green shell has a firm, dry hand that resists light wind. Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle with like colours, then hang on a broad hanger to dry.
