We cut this short coat to fall at the hip rather than the knee. The beige woven shell holds its line without feeling stiff, backed by a plaid lining through the body. A clean button front and a fold-down collar finish the build for breezy mornings and shoulder seasons.

Collar and front
The front closes with a single row of buttons up to a classic fold-down collar. You can fasten it to the neck when the wind picks up or leave the lapels open.
Hip length hem
We shaped the hem to sit right at the hip line with a gentle taper through the sides. It sits flat over high-waisted trousers and skirts without catching or bunching.
Plaid inner lining
The smooth woven shell is fully backed with a lightweight plaid lining. It adds a neat contrast when the front is unbuttoned and lets sleeves slide on easily over knitwear.
