We cut these sweatpants with a relaxed, wide leg that drops straight from the hip to the hem. The interior is backed with a soft brushed fleece that adds warmth without stiffness. An elastic waist with a drawstring lets you adjust where the rise sits.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide leg cut
The legs run straight and loose from the seat down to an open hem. This wide cut gives the heavy knit room to move and drape cleanly over sneakers or boots without gathering at the ankle.
Drawstring waist
We gathered the top edge with an encased elastic band and ran a matching cord through the front. You can cinch it high on the waist or loosen the tie to let the pants rest lower on the hips.
Brushed fleece interior
The outer face has a smooth, matte jersey knit, while the inside is brushed into a lofted fleece lining. It holds warmth close in cold air while remaining soft against bare legs.
Side pocket construction
Two deep pockets are set into the side seams, cut wide enough to hold a phone and keys flat against the hip. Machine wash cold with similar shades and tumble dry low to preserve the fleece nap.
