We cut these wide-leg sweatpants with a relaxed, loose drop through the thigh down to an open hem. The knit is backed in brushed fleece for a soft interior that adds warmth without stiffening the drape. An adjustable drawstring waistband lets you set the rise where you want it.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Wide leg cut
The straight, loose cut runs parallel from hip to cuff. It drops cleanly over sneakers and gives you room to move without gathering at the ankles.
Brushed fleece interior
We chose a midweight knit with a soft fleece backing. The loft holds warmth through cold mornings, while the smooth exterior face keeps its shape through regular wash cycles.
Drawstring waistband
The elastic channel is sewn flat against the waist. A braided cord threads through the front, letting you adjust the tension for a mid-rise or low-rise fit.
Side hand pockets
Two deep pockets sit along the side seams. We stitched the pocket bags flat against the front panels so they hold a phone and keys without bunching.
