We cut this two-piece lounge set from a soft, stretchy knit with an oversized line through the body. The top has a round crewneck and long sleeves that drop past the shoulder. Below, the matching shorts sit on an elastic waistband for an easy pull-on fit around the house.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Crewneck top cut

The long sleeve sweater is cut wide through the chest and shoulders for a loose, untucked hang. Ribbed trim finishes the round neckline, cuffs, and bottom hem.

Elastic waist shorts

We gave the shorts a broad elastic waistband that stays flat without hardware or drawstrings. The legs are cut roomy through the thigh to match the volume of the top.

Orange pink stripes

Broad horizontal bands of orange and warm pink run across both pieces. The yarn-dyed pattern carries cleanly across the knit body and down the length of the sleeves.

Washing and care

Wash both pieces in cold water inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the knit surface from snagging. Line dry flat and avoid bleach to keep the striped colours clear.
