We knit this two piece set with horizontal stripes in apricot and white. The top is cut loose through the body with dropped shoulders and long sleeves, while the matching shorts pull on with a soft elastic waistband. Both pieces have enough give to move without pulling at the seams.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Crewneck top

We cut the sweater with a simple crew neckline and wide sleeves that fall past the wrist. The torso hangs straight and loose down to a clean hem.

Elastic waist shorts

The matching shorts sit on an enclosed elastic band that holds without digging in. We gave the leg openings a relaxed width so the knit hangs clear of the thighs.

Striped knit fabric

Horizontal stripes run across both the sweater and the shorts in alternating bands of apricot and white. The polyester yarn is soft, with a flexible knit structure that springs back after wear.

Cold wash care

Machine wash both pieces in cold water using a laundry wash bag to protect the knit surface from snagging. Hang or lay flat on a line to dry. Do not use bleach.
