We knit this cardigan in a heavy yarn with a relaxed, slouchy body. The dropped shoulder leads into full lantern sleeves gathered at the ribbed cuffs, while the round crew neck fastens down the front with matching buttons. It hangs straight to the hip.

The details we cut in
Crew neckline and placket
The neckline sits close as a round collar with wide ribbing that runs straight down into the front button placket. You can button it fully or let the panels fall open.
Lantern sleeve shape
We dropped the shoulder seam and cut the sleeves with extra volume through the forearm. Deep ribbed cuffs pull the fullness back in at the wrist so the knit stays in place.
Chunky gauge knit
The acrylic yarn is spun for a soft, heavy hand that holds its structure without feeling stiff. It gives the body a clear stitch definition across the light gray surface.
Washing and drying
Hand wash in cold water or run on a gentle machine cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay the knit flat on a rack to dry so the weight does not stretch the seams.
