We knit this cardigan in a heavy gauge yarn with a deep red tone and a generous cut through the body. Dropped shoulder seams lead into full lantern sleeves finished with ribbed cuffs. Big buttons run up to a neat crew neckline.

The details we cut in
Chunky knit texture
The yarn is knit in a thick, textured stitch that holds its shape while remaining soft against other layers. It provides substance without stiffening through the body or arms.
Lantern sleeve shape
We dropped the shoulder line low and widened the sleeve through the forearm, then gathered it back into a tidy ribbed cuff at the wrist so the volume stays put.
Ribbed crew neck
A flat rib frames the collar and runs straight down the front button placket. The tonal buttons close the front completely or let the sweater hang open over a base layer.
Washing and shape care
Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, preferably inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay the knit flat on a towel to air dry so the ribbed hem and sleeves do not stretch out.
