We cut this cardigan loose through the body in a medium-weight chunky acrylic yarn. Dropped shoulders lead into full lantern sleeves that taper at the ribbed cuffs. The button placket runs up to a round crew neckline, finished with ribbed edging at the cuffs and hem.

Crew neckline and placket
A ribbed round band finishes the crew neck. Large matched buttons secure the front closure down to the straight ribbed hem.
Dropped lantern sleeves
The sleeve seam falls past the shoulder point to give the upper arm ease. Fabric gathers into deep ribbed cuffs to shape the lantern profile.
Chunky yarn texture
We chose a soft acrylic yarn knitted in an open gauge. The weight gives the body a relaxed hang without pulling the collar down.
Washing and care
Hand wash in cold water or run through a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay flat on a clean surface to dry so the knit keeps its shape.
