We cut this cardigan loose through the body with dropped shoulder seams and gathered lantern sleeves. The yarn is knit in a chunky gauge that holds its shape while staying soft. Tonal buttons run down the placket to a ribbed hem.

The details we cut in
Dropped shoulder and sleeves
We dropped the shoulder line to loosen the armhole and gathered the knit at the wrist. The balloon sleeve fills out through the forearm before finishing in a ribbed cuff.
Placket and neck
A crew neckline leads straight into the button placket. The knit bands along the opening sit flat against the chest whether the piece is fastened or worn open.
Chunky yarn texture
The acrylic knit uses a heavier stitch pattern that creates depth in solid black. It has enough substance to hang straight down without clinging.
Washing and care
Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, preferably inside a mesh laundry bag. Lay the knit flat to dry rather than hanging it, which keeps the shoulders from stretching.
