We knit this cardigan in a heavy yarn with an open rib texture and dyed it in deep navy blue. The body hangs loose with a dropped shoulder line, while the sleeves billow out into gathered ribbed wrists. Fasten the matched buttons up to the round crew neckline or leave them open over a base layer.

Lantern sleeve volume
The sleeve gathers into full volume down the arm before pulling into a neat ribbed cuff. This shape keeps the wrist clear while letting the knit drape freely.
Dropped shoulder seam
We set the shoulder seam well off the shoulder point for a relaxed hang across the chest. It leaves plenty of room underneath for layering over collared shirts or tees.
Front button placket
Tonal buttons run down the center front to close the rounded neckline. You can fasten the full length against a draft or leave the front split open over trousers.
Chunky yarn care
