We cut this tunic in a lightweight, stretchy knit fabric with horizontal blue stripes. The body falls loose from the shoulder through the hips. What went into it
The details we cut in
Crewneck and front buttons
We finish the rounded neckline with a self-fabric band that lies flat against the collarbone. A short placket with decorative buttons adds a quiet focal point at the chest without pulling or gaping.
Three-quarter sleeve cut
The sleeves are cut to end between the elbow and wrist. We left the cuffs unbanded and cleanly hemmed, so they stay loose around the forearm and layer neatly under jackets.
Lightweight stretch knit
We chose a thin, soft knit fabric with built-in stretch that drapes straight down rather than clinging. The horizontal blue stripe runs cleanly across the body and sleeves for a steady, balanced pattern.
Hemline and washing care
The hem falls past the hips with a generous drop, finished with double-needle topstitching. Wash this piece by hand or machine in cold water, then lay flat or hang to dry in the shade.
