We cut this mini skort with a low rise waistband that rests on the hip. The outer shell falls straight with a side slit for stride room, while soft stretch shorts stay hidden underneath. It gives you the profile of a short skirt with the practical coverage of a knit base layer.

The details we cut in
Low rise waistband
The band sits low on the hips with enough give to hold its place without digging in. We kept the exterior clean and unbelted to lie flat under cropped hems.
Built in short
Underneath the white outer layer, we stitched a pair of matching fitted shorts. The knit fabric stays opaque, giving full coverage when you walk, sit, or step into a car.
Side slit hem
The hem is cut short across the thigh and broken by a clean side slit. This opening eases tension across the front panel and lets the fabric move naturally with your stride.
Fabric and care
The white stretch knit offers dense coverage and good recovery after washing. Run it through the machine on a gentle cold cycle with like colours and hang it to dry.
