We cut this mini skort with a low waist that settles right across the hips. A fitted under-short sits beneath the stretch outer layer, paired with a small side slit at the lower edge. The white polka dot print breaks up the dark base cleanly across the front and back panels.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Under-short construction
An interior short layer is sewn directly into the waistband beneath the outer shell. It stays close to the leg during movement while the outer panel keeps the clean profile of a classic mini skirt.
Low-rise waistband
The band is cut wide and flat to sit lower on the hips without rolling down. We used a flexible elastic core so it pulls on easily and stays put through hours of walking or dancing.
Side hem slit
A small slit breaks the right side seam near the lower edge. It eases tension on the hem as you stride and gives the stretch fabric extra room to move without pulling across the thigh.
Care and print
The polka dot pattern is set deep into the knit to resist fading over repeated wear. Wash it on a gentle cold cycle with similar colours and hang it flat on a drying rack.
