What went into it

The details we cut in

Crew neckline and shoulders

The neck is bound with a ribbed band that lies flat against the collarbone. We dropped the shoulder seams past the natural joint to keep the chest line loose and the upper sleeve wide.

The knit fabric

We chose a cotton-blend jersey with a dry hand and enough weight to hold a square shape. It allows air through easily and recovers its drape after a day of wear.

Sleeve and body cut

The long sleeves finish straight at the wrist without tight cuffs. Through the torso, the sides drop straight down to a clean turned hem that sits just below the natural waistband.

Care instructions

Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with similar light colours to keep the white stripes clear. Reshape the knit while damp and lay it flat to dry.
