A wide leg cut from a lightweight woven cloth with vertical apricot striping. We built the top with a gathered elastic channel and an adjustable drawcord so the waist sits flat. Two slant pockets sit along the side seams without breaking the line of the trousers.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Elastic waistband and cord

The waistband uses an internal elastic band gathered in casing, finished with a matching fabric drawstring so you can knot it where you prefer. It stays flat across the front.

Wide palazzo leg

We cut the legs straight from hip to hem with ample room through the thigh. The woven cloth falls cleanly to a plain turnback cuff that rests over low shoes or bare floors.

Side seam pockets

Deep pockets are set directly into the side seams to keep small items handy around the house. The pocket bags lie flat inside the trouser so they do not add bulk at the hip.

Washing and care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. Tumble dry on low or line dry to keep the apricot stripes crisp, and use a cool iron if you prefer a pressed finish.
