We cut this sleeveless cardigan with a neat cap sleeve that sits just past the shoulder seam. The lightweight knit hangs straight through the body, fastened with front buttons and finished with contrast striping along the ribbed edges. Twin patch pockets sit low at the waist.

What went into it
The details we cut in
V-neck and button front
The deep V-neckline meets a clean front button placket. Ribbed knit binds the edges to hold the shape, trimmed with a contrast stripe that carries along the collar and down the front.
Cap sleeve and shoulder
We extended the shoulder line slightly into a small cap sleeve. It gives a bit of coverage at the top of the arm while keeping the underarm open for easy layering over shirts.
Knit weight and pockets
The yarn is spun for a light, soft knit that drapes without bulk. Two small patch pockets sit at the front waist, finished with matching ribbed edges for holding small items.
Wash and lay flat
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, preferably inside a mesh laundry bag, or hand wash. Lay the knit flat to dry to keep the ribs and shoulder line from stretching.
